Council tax due dates

Council Tax instalments are due by the 1st of each month.

You can pay your bill in 10 or 12 monthly instalments or you can also choose to pay it fortnightly.

You will be in arrears if you pay after these dates.

You can also change your instalment date to the 9th or the 25th of the month. But you must contact us first, quoting your Council Tax reference number.

We promise to give you:

  • a list of all the instalments amounts and dates for the year at least 10 days before the first payment is due
  • notice before we make any changes to your payments at least 10 days in advance
