The Chingford Mount Market is held on alternate Saturdays in Albert Crescent, Chingford Mount, E4 6HS and is licensed by Waltham Forest Council.

It is run by E4 markets and includes a range of arts, crafts and food stalls.

On Saturday 21 July 2018 a Brunch Market is opening at Coronation Gardens, Leyton.

The market will be open each Saturday between 9am and 5pm and offer a range of brunch meals including vegetarian and Caribbean specialities.

Meals available include:

  • Full English breakfast
  • Breakfast sandwiches
  • Avocado on toast
  • Pancakes with a variety of toppings; maple syrup, strawberries, raspberries and lemon juice
  • Jerk wings, plantain wedges, salt fish, ackee, Jamaican festivals plus much more.

Leytonstone, Church Lane Market

Every Saturday, 10am to 4pm

Following the success of four pilot markets, trialled in spring 2018 at Church Lane car park, there will now be a regular Saturday market at this location.

The car park is just two minutes from Leytonstone tube station and will involve closure of the car park every Saturday until at least September 2018.

It is run by E4 markets and includes a range of arts, crafts and food stalls.

Sunday 13 May sees the launch of the much awaited Waltham Forest Vegans Market.

The event will feature a selection of traders, vegan information and charity stalls, music and entertainment for children at the St James Street end of Walthamstow High Street at the heart of Waltham Forest.

This market is a not-for-profit project which has grown from the vibrant and active Waltham Forest Vegans community and all are welcome!

Sundays 10am-2pm

The Walthamstow Farmers Market takes place every Sunday on Walthamstow High Street, next to the Town Square and the Mall, between 10am and 2pm.

Items including fresh bread, free range eggs, organic vegetables, cheese, poultry, succulent cooked sausages and plants are all on sale. This market is run by London Farmers’ Markets, for further information or to apply to trade on this market see London Farmers’ Market website.

Forecourt trading Click to get info

A street trading licence may also be required if you are trading on a forecourt of a shop premises or wish to place tables and chairs on the highway outside your premises.

To apply please contact the Street Trading team for an application form.

A licence may not be granted when adverse comments are received from the consulted parties.

A licence will not be granted where there is a risk to road safety or possibility of a nuisance being created.

The Council may revoke a street trading licence after it has been granted. This may be for a variety of reasons such as: non compliance with conditions, non payment or because other agencies such as highways department require access to the trading location. You will be given at least 10 days notice if your consent is revoked.

Walthamstow Town Square Click to get info

The Town Centre is a licensed public entertainments facility and therefore subject to conditions imposed on the licence and the bylaws of the Council. The venue is designated primarily for the purpose of presenting entertainments that enhance the experience of shopping in Walthamstow.

The protocol contains information on how groups can obtain the permission of the Council to use stalls, tables or banners in Walthamstow Town Square in accordance with the Parks and Open Spaces general byelaws.

The application form must be received at least seven days prior to the first date for which you are applying.

Please note that you can book no more than four weeks in advance in any one application.

If you don't have access to a computer, you can visit a Library Plus branch where you can use a self-service pc to log your request/report.  Staff are available to support you if you need it.​​​​​​​
