E17 Designers Markets showcase good quality arts and crafts handmade by different groups and individuals from across the borough.
The events provide a unique opportunity to show and sell their work locally. Art and craft disciplines represented include: jewellery; ceramics; fashion; printmaking; soft furnishings and accessories.
Established in 2006, we usually run 8 markets a year in various venues: The next market is:
- Saturday 10 November, 10.30am to 3.30pm, at Waltham Forest Community Hub (Asian Centre), 18a Orford Road, Walthamstow Village, E17 9LN.
Wide range of gifts from over 25 makers, Playtime Guitars, tarot reading from Goddess Vulpecula, mulled cider from Real Al, food from Suzie Cakes, E17 Village Market , Greek Café, Wood Street Coffee.

Hoe Street Market Click to get info
Hoe Street Market is a monthly Sunday market at Walthamstow Trades Hall.
Find gifts, art, cards, cakes, plants, jewellery, clothes, homeware and more from local artists, makers and bakers.
Street food is served in the front car park (next to the petrol station on Hoe Street) – buy outside and eat inside with a drink from the very cheap bar! Child friendly with plenty of seating and space for prams, the address is 17 Hoe Street but the entrance is on Tower Hamlets Road (opposite Yard Sale Pizza).
Future markets are from 12 noon until 5pm on:

This market is on private land which means it is not licensed by Waltham Forest Council.

Leyton and Stone Designers is a group of designer/makers based in Leyton and Leytonstone.
The group holds pop-up markets to promote members' work and support the craft and design community in our area. These markets are privately organised.

The next market is on Saturday 1 December 2018, from 11am until 4pm at Upstairs Hall, Leytonstone Library, Church Road, Leytonstone, E11 1HG.
There will be 20 stalls of delightful handmade goods and festive foodie treats, plus entertainment while you shop and selfies with Santa!

The Waltham Forest Vegans Market is held in Walthamstow Town Centre on certain Sundays during the year, details are on the Waltham Forest Vegans Market Facebook page.
The event will feature a selection of traders, vegan information and charity stalls, music and entertainment for children at the St James Street end of Walthamstow High Street at the heart of Waltham Forest.
This market is a not-for-profit project which has grown from the vibrant and active Waltham Forest Vegans community and all are welcome!

The Walthamstow Farmers Market takes place every Sunday on Walthamstow High Street, next to the Town Square and the Mall, between 10am and 2pm.

Christmas tasting platter
If you’re not sure what should be the centre piece of your Christmas lunch this year pop down to Waltham Forest Farmers’ Market on Sunday 18 November and you can sample some organic turkey, duck, goose or cockerel to see which one you prefer.
There’ll also be some organic gammon and sausage meat available for tasting so you can place your order ready for the festive season.

The Town Centre is a licensed public entertainments facility and therefore subject to conditions imposed on the licence and the bylaws of the Council. The venue is designated primarily for the purpose of presenting entertainments that enhance the experience of shopping in Walthamstow.
The protocol contains information on how groups can obtain the permission of the Council to use stalls, tables or banners in Walthamstow Town Square in accordance with the Parks and Open Spaces general byelaws.

A street trading licence may also be required if you are trading on a forecourt of a shop premises or wish to place tables and chairs on the highway outside your premises.

A licence may not be granted when adverse comments are received from the consulted parties.
A licence will not be granted where there is a risk to road safety or possibility of a nuisance being created.
The Council may revoke a street trading licence after it has been granted. This may be for a variety of reasons such as: non compliance with conditions, non payment or because other agencies such as highways department require access to the trading location. You will be given at least 10 days notice if your consent is revoked.
