Our flagship Get Together programme is back in style this summer, offering five free community celebrations full of music, arts and entertainment for residents of all ages. All of our festivals have an array of delicious festival foods, and tailor made bars serving cooling refreshments. As summer draws to a close don’t miss Waltham Forest’s annual fireworks extravaganza on 5 November.

Leyton Cricket Ground, 1pm to 7pm

The borough’s biggest street party fills the streets of Leyton with Caribbean colours, music and flavours. Read more

Lloyd Park, 12noon to 9pm (8pm Sunday)

Walthamstow Garden Party hosts two days of music, theatre, dance, film, spoken word, arts & crafts, food and community fun from the borough’s creative communities. In partnership with the Barbican and Create. Read more

Chestnuts Field, Waltham Forest Town Hall, 2pm to 8pm

Enjoy the sights, sounds and spicy aromas of South Asia with a showcase traditional and modern music, dance, Asian-style street theatre, circus acts and a range of arts and crafts. Read more

Ridgeway Park, 1pm to 8pm

Chingford’s Ridgeway Park hosts a great day of free live music for all the family with tributes to some of the best classic Soul and RnB tribute bands from around the world, featuring a fun fair and array of food and drink stalls. Read more

High Road Leytonstone, 12 to 6pm

The streets of Leytonstone will be filled with delectable food and drink, live music from local bands and lots of activities for all the family. Read more

Waltham Forest’s annual fireworks night extravaganza will feature a spectacular firework display alongside a family funfair, a range of delicious food stalls and bar.

Waltham Forest Council is once again hosting three Christmas lunches and one dinner in Chingford, Leyton and Walthamstow for residents aged 65 and over. Seats will be allocated by ballot closer to the event. Contact events@walthamforest.gov.uk for more information
