Registering to vote

Under Section 11 of the Data Protection Act 1998, you can tell the electoral registration officer not to use your data for marketing.

You can do this by email or letter.

You must:

• be clear you want to make a declaration under Section 11 of the Data Protection Act 1998
• include your full name and address
• if writing, personally sign your letter
