If you cannot access work or work-based training, you can take a free practical vocational course to gain work related or technical skills sought after by employers. This could lead to specific jobs like hairdressing, plumbing or engineering. You can also resit maths and English GCSE if you have not attained a grade 4 or above qualification.
There are also courses that prepare you for Higher Education like access and foundation courses for specific subjects, like art. These courses can also help develop maths & English study and employability skills, giving students the chance to try out different vocational areas.
