This ancient woodland was formerly known as Endleigh Wood, and until the early 20th century, was part of the larger Larks Wood. Today, it is an attractive patch of two acres of woodland, that can be accessed via Ropers Avenue or Royston Avenue, E4.
It's a great place to see bluebells in the spring, and has many oak, hornbeam and service trees - a sign of ancient woodland. Birdlife includes great spotted woodpeckers, blue tits, great tits, robins, wrens, long tailed tits and jays. It's also an ideal spot for walking.
