Have your say on Alternative Provision
I would like to encourage you to take part in an important consultation regarding our proposal to introduce a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) in Chingford.

The Local Authority (LA) undertook a consultation on a proposal relating to the High Needs Block (HNB) funding for April 2020 onwards. This consultation ended on the 10 July 2019. The HNB is the funding provided by the government for the LA to support pupils with SEND, Alternative Provision and a range of SEND services.
The consultation contained a range of proposals relating to SEND provision, largely concerning:
The Deputy Chief Executive has considered all views expressed
Ofsted and CQC have announced a re-visit to Waltham Forest on 25 and 26 March. They will look at how we have improved since they issued a Written Statement of Action (WSoA) following a joint inspection of SEND in 2017. You can find more information here about how you can get involved.
Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) will carry out jointly a re-visit of Waltham Forest, following the previous inspection that took place between 23 January and 27 January 2017.
Motorists, cyclists, public transport users and pedestrians are being asked to share their views on road safety in the borough.
Last year Waltham Forest Council secured a £30,000 grant from the Road Safety Trust to carry out a three year research project with road users to find out their perceptions of road safety in the borough and compare the results with data from collisions that have occurred in recent years.
