Waltham Forest Music Education Hub (WFMEH) provides music education services for children and young people in Waltham Forest.
Resources will be available on this site to support young people to continue their music lessons at home while schools and Music School are closed due to the coronavirus.
Music lessons
Instrumental and singing lessons are taught to over 4,000 pupils in 70% of Waltham Forest’s schools and after school at their Music School.
Music groups
There are over 20 music groups, ensembles and orchestras for young musicians of all ages and abilities, covering a range of classical and contemporary music genres. Groups are held after school at their Music School.
Mini Musicians
Music courses for babies, toddlers and children aged 4-6 years use singing, musical instruments and movement to develop children’s musicality and confidence from birth.
Performances and events
A programme of workshops and performances in a variety of venues in Waltham Forest and further afield give young people the opportunity to experience live music and to showcase their work.
Instrument hire
Musical instruments are available for hire to pupils and schools across the borough who are learning through Waltham Forest Music Service.
