Permit Parking

If you are visiting someone who lives in a controlled parking zone (CPZ) then your vehicle will need to be covered by a resident visitor permit - you can ask the person you are visiting to purchase you a virtual session either when you arrive or the session can be booked in advance.

Enforcement in residential permit parking bays will be suspended on Bank Holidays, however footways, double yellow lines and specified parking bays (for a particular purpose) will be enforced as usual.

Cashless Parking

You can pay to park without using cash in parking bays and car parks owned by the council. You won’t need to display anything in your vehicle as civil enforcement officers will use your vehicle registration number to check how much time you have to park.

There are various cashless parking bays located throughout the borough, visit the on-street cashless parking bay locations webpage.

You can use a debit or credit card to pay for parking over the phone, online, at your nearest PayPoint outlet or some pay and display machines.
