The 'Set Ready' Training programme is now closed for 2022 however new opportunities will be available in 2023 - Please check back soon.
If you have always wanted to work in TV and film production but don’t have the experience, industry contacts or qualifications our ‘Set Ready’ programme has got you covered. The programme is aimed at new entrants and is designed to give you the key skills and building blocks you need to get underway.
Participants will be introduced to how the film industry works and how a film set runs. You will get the chance to meet experts who have worked on films and receive Freelancing and CV advice. This will prepare you for going on set and what will be expected of you.
We will support, nurture and encourage participants who are considering a role behind the camera, giving you tools, knowledge and a comprehensive work experience taster across the production process. We are looking for individuals who are keen to learn, who are enthusiastic, hardworking and who are passionate and interested in working in TV.
Following the training, you will be offered the opportunity for paid work on location as a runner or marshal. You'll get experience on how a film is produced, and gain a high profile production credit on your CV. You will then receive support and advice on finding a substantive trainee crew role.
Visit the 'Set Ready' webpage for more information.
Delivery of the training will be in person sessions taking place at a venue in Waltham Forest. The course is free to attend.
