Who we are and what we do
The Health, Safety and Wellbeing team has launched a Staff Wellbeing initiative to improve the physical health and wellbeing of employees working in Care Homes. This will be done through offering massages to Staff to address their aches and pains via sport and remedial massage therapy (SRMT). The massage service will be provided by Leytonstone Sports Massage (LSM) Clinic.

Information we hold about you
Personal information will be collected to be able to provide the service, this will include:
- name
- email address. This may be a work or personal email address
- work location
- health data relating to musculoskeletal problems
- pregnancy status
Purpose of processing personal data and how we use it
Data is required in order to provide safe massages. This includes some health data, namely data relating to musculoskeletal problems and pregnancy. Your name will be taken for identification purposes, and your email address is required for us to make contact with you if you sign up for a massage.
LSM also send out marketing emails and you can choose whether you sign up for these. You do not need to sign up for these emails to receive the massage services and you can ask to have your name removed from the marketing email list at any time by contacting LSM at: info@leytonsportsmassage.com or via phone on 020 8185 7364.
The lawful basis for the processing
The lawful basis for data processing is GDPR Article 9(2) (a) – consent for the special category health data that is necessary to administer the service.
Consent will be explicit, written, and freely obtained when signing up for the service via the Microsoft form.
Who your information will be shared with (if applicable)
The details of those who sign up for the service will be shared with and managed by: LSM Ltd
In the event of any dispute, information will also be shared with LSM’s insurer.
How long we will keep your information
LSM Ltd. will retain personal data collected for the purpose of providing the massage service for 7 years for insurance purposes. Where consent is withdrawn before the expiry of this period, the basis for retaining personal data is the Limitation Act 1980.
If you have consented to be added to the email list to receive marketing updates, you can ask to be removed from the list at any time by contacting LSM at the contact details below.
The data collected by LSM is not shared with the Council, if you have any questions about your data, for example, if you wish to receive a copy of your records, you can also contact them via the contact information below.
