Two Generations

Two Generations is a Homeshare organisation. We match people who live alone (typically older people or those with disabilities) and have a spare room, with younger people who can provide an overnight presence, companionship, and some help with household chores. In exchange, the younger person will benefit from affordable accommodation.

Homesharing has many benefits for both parties including improved mental and physical wellbeing, companionship, maintaining independence, and reduced social isolation. Two Generations, in collaboration with Waltham Forest Council, are working to introduce a new Homeshare scheme to the borough.

Referral required and eligibility

You are able to self-refer on our website to become either a householder or house sharer.
