Library of Things privacy notice

Waste and Recycling Team are part of the Council’s Neighbourhood Environment Directorate. We are currently working on a project with a partner called Library of Things.  They will offer a lending service for various DIY, gardening and other household items from a self-service kiosk within the Leytonstone Library.  Should you wish to view their website you can do so here Library of things

The Council will not hold any data directly.  All data is processed by Library of Things.

The following personal data will be processed:

• First and last name
• postcode
• email address
• Card payment data

You will register directly with Library of Things and your payments will be processed by them for the purpose of allowing you access to the service.

The processing of your data is based on your consent.  You will be asked to complete a registration form prior to any data processing taking place.   

You are able to withdraw your consent for the processing of your data by closing your account with Library of Things.

Library of things keeps borrower account data for as long as borrowers want to have an account with them (i.e. until they close their account).
