Celebrate Design in Waltham Forest

The annual Waltham Forest Design Awards celebrate high-quality design in the borough. We’re looking forward to showcasing more exceptional architecture and landscape design projects this year.

Last December, we opened nominations for projects between 2021 and 2023.

We had a brilliant response and in January our expert panel of judges shortlisted 11 brilliant projects - now it’s time to vote for your favourite.

Choose your favourite architecture or landscape project from the People’s Choice Award 2024 shortlist, voting ends Friday 24 May 2024.

The project with the most votes will win the People’s Choice Award at the ceremony in June.

The People’s Choice Award

The People’s Choice winner in 2021 (pictured up top) was the Forest Garden by HUT Architecture and HOS Landscapes at the junction of Drayton, Southwest, and Bulwer roads, E11 1BX.

A lonely traffic island in the heart of Leytonstone was transformed into a vibrant community garden for residents to enjoy. The garden was completed in October 2020 and has been designed to provide a habitat for bees, beetles, and butterflies. The garden has been adopted by a community of green-fingered residents, who continue to nurture the plants.
