Could you offer a supportive, loving home to a vulnerable child in Waltham Forest?
We are looking for new Foster Carers based in and around Waltham Forest to provide a family home for children who can’t live with their own families. This care can sometimes be short term emergency care or a more permanent arrangement.
You will need patience, humour and energy to look after a child. You will also need to have a spare bedroom, unless you care for babies as they can share your room until they are 2 years old (your room will have to big enough to have a cot).
Being a Foster Carer is like being a parent, but is also a paid professional role which involves training and support and working with other professionals such as social workers & teachers, to give the child the best chances possible in life.
We’re part of the Local Community Fostering service – a network of six northeast London boroughs with an ambition to inspire more people from all walks of life, to become foster carers.
The Local Community Fostering service is dedicated to supporting you on your journey to becoming a local authority foster carer.
We want to hear from you whether you’re just considering fostering for the first time and want to find out a little more, or if you’re an experienced carer looking to transfer from an independent fostering agency. We are always looking for carers from a variety of background regardless of age, ethnicity, religion, sexuality or marital or employment status.
