Spark2Life is a community-inspired black led initiative that empowers and advocates for people by giving them the tools to successfully navigate key aspects of life to reduce and prevent the risk of offending.

Their mission is the prevention of crime and the protection and advocacy for people of all ages, especially young people and those who disproportionately face injustice in society.

Through bespoke solutions, they transform lives and disrupt the criminal justice narrative.

Provision in Waltham Forest

Community Mentoring 

A community mentoring project that supports young people in mainstream education as part of their prevention strategy and YOS as part of their intervention strategy. Mentoring promotes social cohesion by connecting young people with a diverse range of passionate volunteers from the community.

Detached Street Work

Detached workers provide young people and adults with an opportunity to interact and find an exit strategy from criminal lifestyles they may be involved in. Self-referrals from young people and young adults are welcomed for those who want further support.

Stop and Search

An advocacy and support service for young people around stop and search and interaction with the police. This service seeks to improve the relationship, trust and confidence between young people and the police through community involvement, tackling disparities and enabling a rights-based approach.
