Applications are now open to apply for funding to deliver community events within Waltham Forest.

The Fellowship Fund 2024/25 offers a chance for voluntary, CIC, community or faith groups to host free to attend events which promote equality and diversity in Waltham Forest.

Grants of between £500 and £2,000 are available to fund one-off events, which can take place between September 2024 and the end of March 2025.

The deadline to apply is midday on Thursday 8 August.

Funding will be awarded for events that celebrate equalities and promote diversity and inclusion across Waltham Forest. This could include:

  • Events celebrating heritage or culture
  • Religious celebrations
  • Events celebrating those with disabilities or SEN
  • Events celebrating LGBTQ+ Communities

Activities must align with the following values:

  • Celebratory: an opportunity to celebrate diverse communities
  • Inclusivity: must be inclusive to all audiences, including different cultures, religions, ages, gender, disability and sexuality. Your event should not be solely for your own community.
  • Understanding and learning: creating a shared understanding of the different beliefs, culture, or experiences of those within society
  • Promoting integration: bringing together communities, helping to build community cohesion through celebrating and appreciating our unique differences.

You can apply by clicking the button at the top of the page or by pressing this link to the application form.

We will consider alternative application formats if applicants experience accessibility issues with our digital form. Please reach out to connectingcommunities@walthamforest.gov.uk to discuss how best to support.
