Vinyl Vanguard opened its doors at Crate St James in 2019, and has been helping music lovers in Waltham Forest (and beyond) find great records ever since.

Music was always a passion for friends Simon, Ruth, and Mike, who had all worked in different careers before joining forces to open Vinyl Vanguard. Now, they have as many records as they can manage to fit into their small space, buying and selling good quality secondhand vinyl. While there's a mix of all musical genres to be found, they specialise in jazz music, and have enthusiasts travelling from far and wide to check out their collection.

Alongside the secondhand LPs you can also find a range of CDs, new vinyl, paintings done by Ruth herself, and merchandise.

The shop is open from 12noon to 6pm, every day except for Monday.
