Warning over scam Household Support Fund calls

We have been made aware of reported scam calls asking residents to apply for a Household Support Fund (HSF) grant.

Although reported by another authority, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has warned that the calls could become more widespread. 

Please be very cautious if you receive a phone call of this nature and never give your bank details to unverified callers. We would not cold call residents to invite them to apply for the HSF or other benefits.
