Weddings at Fellowship Square: Suzy and James

“My husband(!) James and I would like to thank everyone at Waltham Forest council who helped our ceremony at Fellowship Square to run so perfectly – it was a joy!”

So why Fellowship Square? We felt it was important to celebrate our wedding local to home. It gave the occasion more meaning, and we love being able to walk past now, point and say, “We got married there!”. We also loved the idea of getting married in an iconic building that has a sense of history, permanence and community purpose tied to the local area. The flexibility and cost of the venue also suited our small(ish) city wedding.

Tell us about the day, what package did you go for? We got married in the Lodden Suite, which was the perfect size for us and our 25 guests. I was held in the adjacent Strawberry Suite, which allowed for a grander entrance from the back of the room (you only get to walk down the aisle once, after all!). The staff had set up the room just as we’d requested, and everything went smoothly. Even the sound system, which we connected to over Bluetooth.

Any final thoughts? We loved the art-deco aesthetic and the nods to the local artist, William Morris, throughout the building. The staff on the day were very accommodating, helpful, and friendly, guiding us and our guests through the whole event. If you want a simple, no-fuss, low-cost, and intimate ceremony. I couldn’t recommend Fellowship Square enough.

Congratulations to Suzy and James!
