Road traffic schemes and consultations

""

Traffic and highway improvement schemes are usually designed and installed as the result of an accident or problem, in response to requests from residents or as part of a national policy (for example, the introduction of 20mph zones).

Below is a list of current road traffic schemes and consultations in Waltham Forest.

See details of previous consultations.

In 2018 we completed the first stage of the review process for the Market East (ME) CPZ area. Based on the information collected during this first stage of the review we are intending to replace the existing (ME) CPZ area with a number of smaller zones. These smaller zones will have operational times that are better tailored to the needs and requirements of residents, businesses and community facilities in different parts of the overall area.

As part of this review process we are asking residents and businesses for their views on the operational days and times that should be in each of the new zones that are being created. We are also seeking resident’s views on the proposal to introduce resident permit-only parking bays.

You can share your views through our online questionnaire

The consultation will be from Tuesday 7 May 2019 until Tuesday 28 May 2019.

When responding to the questionnaire, please provide your home or business address and postcode to help us analyse the proposals geographically. Responses without a valid address will not be taken into consideration.

Printed copies of the questionnaire are also available on request, please email cpz.schemes@walthamforest.gov.uk or call 020 8496 2525.
