If you or a family member are living with a disability, there are a range of inclusive, adapted and all-ability options for you in the borough.

Moving with a disability

  • Waltham Forest Disability Resource Centre provide supported classes and activities for disabled adults in East London including adapted exercise and physical activity
  • Feel Good Centre Waltham Forest offer a range of opportunities including boccia, supported gym, racket sports, pool exercise, multi-sports, gentle exercise and more
  • BikeWorks All Ability Cycling Clubs have a range of adapted cycles including tandem tricycles, side-by-side, and platform tricycles
  • Forest Flyerz is a leading disability hockey programme by Waltham Forest Hockey Club for anyone with a learning or physical disability
  • Wheelchair tennis at Lee Valley Tennis Centre are coached sessions and open to players of all abilities
  • Frame Running Club at the Feel Good Centre runs every week and is free. Frame Running uses a three-wheeled frame to enable people with mobility or balance impairments to propel themselves forward using their legs

You may also be eligible for free swimming at Better leisure centres.

A membership is required. Membership gives you borough wide swimming access at Chingford, Leyton, Leytonstone and Waltham Forest Feel Good Centre.

Inclusive tennis session Tuesdays for 8 to 12 year olds

These pan disability tennis sessions begin on Tuesday 1 October.

Sessions will run for 3 weeks

  • Tuesday 1 October to Tuesday 15 October
  • 4:30pm to 5:30pm
  • Ridgeway Tennis Courts, E4 6XU

There is parking at Ridgeway Park. 

The block of 3 sessions costs £20 and can be booked at WimX Coaching

Sessions are delivered by WimX Tennis Academy.
