We are sometimes legally require to collect, process and share personal or sensitive data with our partners without consent. This could include the NHS, schools, central and local government, police, and other law enforcement agencies. We do this:

• to safeguarding to protect vulnerable adults and children
• to prevent and detect crime
• to assess any tax or duty
• to collect a debt
• if a court of law means we must
• to prevent fraud
• for the national fraud initiative
• to protect people from serious harm
• to protect public funds

We may also share your information with our partners for national government programmes, or to improve or provide our services. This includes with: 

• NHS (GPs, hospital, mental health, CCGs etc.)
• schools
• voluntary sector
• central government
• other councils
• housing associations

There is normally a legal a lawful basis for this under Data Protection Law legislation.

We may also share your information with third party service providers working on our behalf for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (for example; domiciliary care providers.  In such cases, we only share the information they need to deliver the service. They’re legally bound to keep your data secure, and not use it for other purposes.

We never use or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes unless you give us permission.
