Bushcraft Classes at Walthamstow Wetlands

There’s everything from Forest School for 3 to 5 year olds, to Bushcraft for 6 to 11 year olds. Children can learn cookery, tool skills and shelter building, plus wildlife activities, crafts for children under 5 years old and free storytelling. Plus Wild Weekend tours, pond dipping, gardening and minibeast hunts.

Curious Wilds

Curious Wilds gives people in east London a chance to explore, connect, and have fun with nature in our local urban wild spaces. Run by Rachel Summers, a level 3 qualified Forest School practitioner and trainee level 4 Forest School trainer.

Wildlings, St James Park nature reserve

Age: Pre-schoolers with carer

Enjoy hunting for bugs, balancing on logs, mixing mud pies, creating things from nature, and playing Twit Twoo.  There are also monthly Saturday forest school sessions for under-5s.

After school and holiday clubs

Age: 4 to 11 with carer

After school club every week, plus monthly Saturday forest school sessions, and in the school holidays.

Woodcraft Folk

ELHAP (Every Life Has a Purpose) Stay and Play (SEND Specific)

Families who don’t get short breaks funding can attend ELHAP through our ‘Stay and Play Scheme. It costs £5 per day and families can also come to holiday playscheme days and Saturday Clubs. Parents supervise their child. Not open to carers.
