Your Future, Your Choice: post-16 prospectus (2024-25)

It is important that you choose the right path for you and your future, no matter what type of employment you want to work in. To help you and your family make this important decision, the Council has created a ‘Your Future, Your Choice’ post-16 prospectus in collaboration with Waltham Forest secondary schools and colleges, to make your decision a little easier. 

There are several different pathways to choose from, which suit different strengths and aspirations. You may feel you work better in a classroom environment, love to learn by ‘doing’, being taught by those already working in your chosen industry and more. There may also be routes in education and training that you’ve never heard of. 

Each school and college has its own online application form, which will be available on their website or to request as a paper form, so make sure to check the individual pages of each further education provider in this prospectus. We strongly encourage you to attend open days so that you can see the facilities and meet the teachers/tutors. 

Whatever you are thinking of doing next, it is important to spend time discussing your options with the people around you: your teachers, family, carers, to decide what will be right for you. You can also get support from your school and college careers team.
