Building safety: block by block programme

Pre-commencement works​

• Fire Engineers and London Fire Brigade carried out independent reviews of building and fire safety design proposals. ​
• Design works completed in August 2023
• Building Control reviews and approves the design.
• Submitted Planning Application for approval in July 2023
• Carried out consultation process for major works with leaseholders in August/September 2023
• Estimated to start works in January 2024.

Construction works

• Scaffolding was erected in January 2024, it will remain in place for the duration of the works.
• Installation of new fire-rated cavity insulation is currently being installed and should be completed in September 2024.
• Window replacements with modern compliant materials are ongoing.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical-related work. For example, the installation of fire alarms, sprinklers and associated infrastructure.
• Roof replacements are underway.
• Replace curtain walling system to stairwell with new compliant materials.
• Fire stopping is continuing.

Works commenced in January 2024 and are due to finish in April 2025.
