Building safety: block by block programme

Pre-commencement works​

• Fire Engineers and London Fire Brigade carry out independent reviews of building and fire safety design proposals. ​
• Design works are estimated to be complete in August 2023
• Building Control reviews and approves the design.
• Estimated to start in late September 2023
• Submitted Planning Application for approval in July 2023
• Carry out consultation process for major works with leaseholders in August/September 2023

Construction works

• Carry out mechanical and electrical related works e.g. installation of fire alarms (subject to Fire Engineer’s report)
• Erect scaffold
• Carry out works to the external coating that is compliant with building safety regulations
• Replace balcony soffits with modern compliant materials
• Install Automatic Opening Vents to the head of the stairwell
• Undertake fire upgrade works to the wall between external riser shafts and flats
• Replace windows between flats and internal communal hallways with new fire-rated windows
• Remove scaffold

Estimated start: Late September 2023 and finish April 2025
