Building safety: block by block programme

Pre-commencement works

• Fire Engineers and London Fire Brigade carry out independent reviews of building and fire safety design proposals. ​
• Design works are estimated to be complete in August 2023
• Building Control reviews and approves the design.
• Estimated to start in late September 2023
• Submitted Planning Application for approval in July 2023
• Carry out consultation process for major works with leaseholders in August/September 2023

Construction works

• Erect scaffold
• Carry out fire risk assessment works in compliance with building safety regulations.
• Replace windows with modern compliant materials.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical-related work. For example, the installation of fire alarms, sprinklers, and associated infrastructure. (subject to Fire Engineer’s report) 
• Carry out external repair works
• Cladding renewal
• Remove scaffolding
• Estimated to start in late September 2023 and finish in May 2025.
