Church Hill E17 CPZ Review

The Council is consulting residents and businesses in Church Hill on changes to permit parking. 

The southeastern area of Church Hill, between Woodbury Road and Prospect Hill, has been within the Hill Top (HT) Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) since 2020. In the same year, modal filters were introduced in Howard Road and Rectory Road as part of the Hilltop area improvement. To improve parking accessibility for residents and business impacted by the modal filters, the Council is proposing to incorporate the properties in the southeastern area of Church Hill within the Walthamstow Central (WSC) CPZ.

Vernon Road E17 ('WSC' Controlled Parking Zone)

The Council is consulting residents and businesses of the Vernon Road area on changes to permit parking.

Vernon Road has been within the Walthamstow Central (WSC) Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) since 2020. In response to requests from residents and local ward Councillors, we are proposing that properties within Vernon Road, and the section of High Street between Willow Walk and Storey Road are incorporated into the High Street (HST) CPZ. This proposal is being put forward to facilitate parking for residents and businesses located in the area.

Jack's Farm Way E4 ('JF' Restricted Parking Zone)

The Council is consulting residents and businesses of the Jack's Farm Way area on changes to permit parking.

The Jack's Farm (JF) Restricted Parking Zone (RPZ) currently operates in Jack's Farm Way and Celebration Way from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm. The Council has received feedback from residents about insufficient parking availability outside of these operational hours.

We want you to tell us what you think about the operational days or hours, and if there are any other adjustments that could be made to improve parking in your area. The proposed operational days and hours are reflective of the recent residents’ requests.

Jack's Farm Way permit parking consultation document

The Council is consulting residents and businesses of the Highams Park area on proposals for permit parking.

In February 2020, we asked local people about parking provision and travel behaviour across the Highams Park area. Over 1,000 people responded to the survey to share their experience with car parking, as well as providing ideas about how it could be improved. Some residents stated they had difficulties parking and supported the introduction of restrictions to fix this issue.

Using the survey responses and information on parking occupancy in the area, we have identified streets across the Highams Park area where parking restrictions can help reduce the number of commuters parking in residential roads. We are now proposing to introduce permit parking in these areas to prioritise parking for residents.

The consultation documents linked below show the areas where permit parking is being proposed and include further details on the how to respond. To share your views, please complete the questionnaires enclosed within the consultation document and return it to reach us by Friday 16 December 2022.

The Council is dedicated to improving road safety for all road users, and we are committed to introducing 20 mph speed limits and zones in all residential roads across the borough.

There are a variety of measures being proposed on Chingford Mount Road, Chingford Road and Hall Lane to help improve road safety and make it easier and more convenient to walk and cycle.

A description of each of the road safety and speed reduction measures proposed in your area is provided in the document attached below. The proposed location of each of the measures is illustrated on the maps shown in this document.
